Worlds in Action Hack: SIGGRAPH Edition

Two days in Los Angeles, right before SIGGRAPH 2026, to prototype what's next in AI-native 3D worlds.
The mission: take a world model from idea to working demo.

Build a game, an interactive experience, a spatial agent, or a cinematic AI project - powered by partner kits from World Labs, Tripo, fal.ai, Reactor, ReactVision, XGRIDS, and PICO. Eight tracks are open, spanning storytelling, 3D reconstruction, agentic systems, and more, so bring whatever angle on world models excites you most.

Requirements

Project Requirements

  • Functionality: The project must run consistently on its intended platform and function as shown in the demo video and description.
  • New & Existing: All submissions must be newly created and not previously submitted to any other hackathon. Teams may prepare mockups, scan environments, or fine-tune models beforehand, but no coding is allowed before the event.
  • Third-Party Integrations: Any SDKs, APIs, or data must be used in accordance with licensing terms. Sponsor and Administrator reserve the right to request proof of such authorization or licensure.
  • Category Specific Requirements:
    • Best Storytelling & Entertainment Project: Must include at least one VFX, virtual production, storytelling, or entertainment element and at least one world model or reconstructed scene/environment.
    • Best Interactive Splat Experience - by World Labs: Must use World Labs Marble and include at least one interactive, responsive element.
    • Best 3D GenAI Character, Brand or Product Integration - by TRIPO: Must use TRIPO to generate at least one fully embodied character, brand, or product asset integrated into a world model scene.
    • Best 3D Reality Reconstruction Project - by XGRIDS: Must use real-world capture and reconstruction to build the environment, with at least one interactive, responsive element.
    • Best App Running on Emulator - by PICO: Must run on the PICO Emulator, demonstrating at least one productivity, creative, or spatial workflow feature.
    • Best Agentic Spatial System - by PICO: Must implement at least one AI agent with a spatial multi-view interface and use WebSpatial or PICO Spatial SDK.
    • Best Branched Narrative or Edutainment Project - by Reactor: Must use Reactor and include at least one real-time branching path driven by user choice or interaction.
    • One Shot Challenge: Must be produced from a single prompt and a single model call, delivered as a self-contained build.

Submission Requirements

  • All team members must have a Devpost account and join the SensAI Hack
  • One member submits and tags all others as collaborators
  • Include a ~45 second demo video showing the experience on device - no copyrighted music or third-party trademarks
  • Include a text description of features and functionality
  • Attach your build/text file (e.g. APK, exe, URL etc.) - unless it's the One Shot Challenge, which submits directly on the website
  • List all paid software, SDKs, APIs, and design tools
  • Upload all files to Google Drive in a folder named after your team: e.g. "LA11 HackFace"
    • Build file and demo video in the root folder
    • All other files in a subfolder named "Other"
  • One team with the same members may submit multiple projects.

Judging Criteria

  • Concept & Innovation
The project goes beyond an idea - it solves a real problem, creates value, or introduces a new experience that wasn’t possible before. We’re looking for projects that could attract, engage, and retain real users.
  • Technical Implementation
Show what you actually built, not just what you imagined. The project should run reliably on the intended platform, feel polished, and demonstrate meaningful use of the provided tools. Presentation matters, including demo video, description, and slides.
  • Experience & Design
The overall user experience should be intuitive, immersive, and visually engaging, with all elements working together cohesively.
  • Track & Category Criteria
The project should clearly align with its chosen track and highlight the category’s strengths.
